What is the longest you have ever gotten your nails ? Real or Acrylic?

What is the longest you have ever let your nails be and was it for a special occasion or just because you like to keep your nails long ?What is the longest you have ever gotten your nails ? Real or Acrylic?
I generally keep mine no longer than 2 mm over the tip of my finger (like 3mm total white).





I like my nails to be nice, but I do a lot of active stuff so I compromise :-)





EDIT: George - my hand do NOT look like man hands, they're small - so 2mm over the tip looks nice and classy (especially as I wear them with a French polish).





I think 1/2 - 1 inch nails are gross - they look ridiculous and they're dirty - especially fake nails.





I will say though, any woman that can get through her day with 1 inch nails deserves praise - I couldn't do my job or live day to day with talons in the way.

The answers your are receiving are pathetic. Why even bother getting your nails done for a couple of milimeters past the tip? And having long nails (1 inch) isn't gross. I personally love women with nails at least 1/2 inch past the tip or longer anything less than that is a waste of time to spend money on or mess with. But short ugly nails are a big turn off for almost any guys and that is ';gross';. It screams Manhands!!!!!
When I got acrylic on mine, they were about an inch long. But, I was 18 and didn't realize how gross that was.





I finally stopped biting my nails and grew them out and they just about to the tips of my fingers. I don't like them too long because I think it looks trashy.
I get my nails done every two weeks, and I always keep them as short as they can possibly get them ( my nails barely reach over the tips of my fingers) regardless of the location. I really dislike the way long nails look.
